Why we offer this at all
Under EU consumer law, the fourteen-day right to change your mind normally ends the moment digital content is delivered, if you agreed to immediate delivery. Your certificate is generated instantly, so strictly speaking that right ends at once.
We think that would be a mean way to run a joke shop, so we offer a 14-day refund anyway, as a promise of our own. It sits on top of your statutory rights and takes nothing away from them.
How to ask
Send an email to hi@nothingonpurpose.com from the address you used at checkout, or quote your certificate number. That is the whole process. There is no form.
What happens next
- We reply within 5 working days.
- The refund goes back to the card or account you paid from. We cannot send it anywhere else.
- Your bank usually shows it within five to ten days, depending on the bank rather than on us.
- Your certificate is deleted and removed from the public wall.
- Your serial number is retired. It is not given to anybody else.
If you already downloaded the image file, we obviously cannot take it off your computer, and we are not going to ask you to delete it.
Gifts
If you bought a certificate for somebody else, you can refund it on the same terms. If the person named on it asks us to remove it, we remove it straight away and refund you, whether or not you asked us to.
Getting removed without a refund
If you want your entry off the public wall but would rather keep supporting the project, say so and we will hide the entry and keep the payment. You do not have to take the money back to get your privacy.
