1. Who you are dealing with

By buying from this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not buy anything. Browsing the site is free and requires nothing of you.
2. What this site is
This is a satirical art project presented as an online shop. The joke is that the shop appears to sell nothing. The marketing language is deliberately absurd. This section, and the checkout page, describe the actual transaction in plain terms, and those plain terms are what govern the sale.
3. What you are buying
For a one-time payment you receive a personalised Certificate of Nothing. It is a digital image file carrying:
- a sequential serial number, unique to you and never reissued;
- the name or pseudonym you choose at checkout;
- the amount you paid, the date of issue, and an illustrated avatar you select.
If you choose to appear there, your certificate is also published on the public Wall of Nothing, with a permanent link you can share.
4. What you are not buying
You receive no physical item, no service, no ongoing access or subscription, no future deliverable, no charitable or tax-deductible benefit, and no financial return of any kind. Nothing you buy here is an investment, a security, a token, or a share in anything. This project is not crowdfunding, not a raffle or game of chance, not a marketplace, and does not process payments on behalf of anyone else.
5. Price and payment
You choose the amount within the range shown on the site. Every amount buys exactly the same certificate; the only thing that changes is the title printed on it and the figure it records. Payment is taken by our payment provider, who handles your card details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
Prices are shown inclusive of any tax that applies. Your bank or card statement will show our trading name.
6. Delivery
Your certificate is generated and shown to you as soon as the payment clears, on the order confirmation page, where you can download it. There is nothing to ship and no waiting period.
7. What you may put on the certificate
You choose the name and, optionally, a short message. Both may appear publicly. You must not submit:
- anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, or hateful;
- the name of a real person you are not and have no permission to use;
- personal data about someone else, such as an address or phone number;
- advertising, links, or anything designed to promote a product or service;
- material that infringes somebody else's trade mark or copyright.
We may remove or edit anything that breaks these rules, or that we simply judge to be a problem, without refunding you. We would rather refund you and remove it, and normally will.
8. Certificates bought as a gift
You may buy a certificate naming somebody else. If you do, you confirm that you have their permission to use their name, and that the message you attach is something you are willing for them and for the public to read.
The person named on a gift certificate never agreed to anything with us. If they ask us to remove it, we will remove it immediately and without consulting you first. That is not a decision we will argue about.
9. Refunds
You can have your money back within 14 days, with no questions asked. The full details are in our Refund Policy.
10. Availability and the state of the site
This is a small independent project. The site may be unavailable at times, and we do not promise it will run forever. If it closes, certificates already issued remain yours as files you have downloaded, but the public wall and its links may disappear. Download your certificate rather than relying on us to keep it online.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything written here.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with your purchase is limited to the amount you paid us.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published at the moment you buy is the one that applies to your purchase. Changes are never applied backwards to a sale already made.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
